7.2.3. PC Recovery (Windows Workstations
Only)
IMPORTANT INFO:
The 5big Backup Server must have at least
one backup of the workstation being recovered. The recovery op-
eration cannot succeed if the workstation has not been backed up
by the 5big Backup Server.
In the event of workstation error or failure, the 5big Backup Server
can help you restore the system to a previous, working state. Before
starting a Windows recovery, it is highly recommended that you have
all the tools at your disposal:
✦
The PC Recovery CD (included) or a PC Recovery USB 2.0
flash drive (
7.2.2. PC Recovery USB 2.0 Flash Drive (Option-
al)
)
✦
The workstation drivers stored on the 5big Backup Server. The
drivers should be copied to a USB 2.0 flash drive. See
7.2.1.

2. Insert the PC Recovery CD into your workstation’s optical disk
drive. The workstation must boot from the CD. If the workstation
being recovered does not include an optical disk drive, use a PC
recovery USB 2.0 flash drive. See
