Preparation before Use > Loading Paper
Cassette 3, Cassette 4, Cassette 6 (PF-740), and Cassette 7 (PF-740)
The cassettes will each hold plain paper, recycled paper or color paper.
The cassettes can hold up to 1,500 sheets of plain paper (80 g/m
2
)
(or up to 1,750 sheets of 64 g/m
2
plain paper).
The following paper sizes are supported: A4, B5 and Letter.

Pull the cassette out toward you until it stops.

Adjust the cassette size.

Rotate the Paper Size Guide (A) clamp and remove. Pull the Paper Size Guide (A) up and out.
IMPORTANT
When using media types other than plain paper (such as recycled or colored paper), always specify the media
type and paper weight settings.

The cassettes can hold paper with weights up to 256 g/m
2
. If you are using a paper weight of 106 g/m
2
or
more, set the media type to Thick and set the weight of the paper you are using.
Do not load thick paper that is heavier than 256 g/m
2
in the cassettes. Use the multi purpose tray for paper
that is heavier than 256 g/m
2
.
