Installing the Inverter/Charger
This guide for use by qualified personnel only.
To connect the chassis ground:
1.
Using the appropriate wrench, loosen the nut on the bolt
of the chassis ground point shown in Figure 10.
2.
Connect the grounding cable between the chassis ground
point and the DC grounding point for your system.
In a
vehicle installation, the DC grounding point
will
usually be the vehicle chassis or a dedicated chassis
ground bus.
3.
Tighten the nut to a torque of 1.0–1.25 ft-lbs (1.47–1.7
Nm).

DC Grounding
The Chassis Ground point on the inverter/charger is used to
connect the chassis of the inverter/charger to your system’s
DC grounding point, as required by regulations for some
installations. Use copper wire that is either bare or provided
with green insulation.
The grounding guideline given below assumes you are using
the code-compliant DC supply cable and fuse sizes indicated
on page 1
