LED WARNING LIGHTS
CHOOSING THE BEST OPERATOR
gemino
has two green LED warning lights used to supply some basic information:
1. When the communicator is switched on, the LED1 light flashes during the self
test, and when it has finished the LED1 light remains on and the LED2 light starts
to flash. The LED2 light stops flashing and remains on when the device is ready
and correctly connected to the GSM network with a level of signal capable of
making it work properly.
2. During normal operation, the two LED lights should remain always on.
3. If the LED2 light flashes during operation, it means that the module is not
connected to the GSM network or the level of signal is scarce.
4. Both LEDs flash at the same time when searching for the best available
operator.
5. The LED1 light remains on and the LED2 light is off when the device has been
reset to factory settings.
6. Both LED flash at the same time during the reading of the USB pendrive.
Along this phase, the USB pendrive has not to be removed, to assure a correct
data upload.
The device features a function to identify the best available GSM operator at the
installation point. To activate this procedure, follow these instructions:
1. Turn on the device without inserting a SIM card.
2. Connect the
ergo
keypad or the PC used to set the device. The system will
display the best operator available at that moment.
3. The device updates the display approximately every 60 seconds, so the
information may vary each time, especially if the operators available have a
similar signal coverage.
4. At the end of the procedure, turn off the device, insert the SIM card and turn
the device back on.
