7.2 General information about the start-up
Adhere to the following general information for the start-up:
n
Only carry out the installation and start-up of the hand-held spray gun in accordance with the
steps described in these operating instructions.
n
Check the material and compressed air hose lines for damage and tight fit before each use.
n
Always observe the applicable country-specific safety, accident prevention, occupational
safety, and environmental protection regulations for the area of use for the hand-held spray
gun.
n
Do not use sharply abrasive, chemically aggressive, very hot or very cold spray media without
first consulting with and receiving approval from Krautzberger GmbH.
n
Adhere to the spray media manufacturer's safety data sheets.
n
Only operate the hand-held spray gun in compliance with the values specified in (
Ä
Chapter
13.1 ‘Technical data’ on page 53
).
n
Take precautionary measures during the processing of flammable materials and/or material
that is prone to explosion, so that a fire can be extinguished quickly.
n
In case of an unforeseen air pressure drop, e.g. because a hose connection came loose, a
hose burst or similar, release the pull lever to disrupt the material supply! After that, immedi-
ately close the shut-off valves for the air and material supply at the respective source. Without
the air supply the range of the fluid jet can increase significantly.
n
In case of unforeseen fluid leakage, e.g. due to the loosening of a fluid hose connection or
during the bursting of a fluid hose, close the shut-off valve at the fluid source as quickly as
possible.
n
Never point the compressed air and the spray jet towards living beings.
7.3 Shut-down in an emergency
Proceed as follows in case of an emergency:
1.
Disrupt the coating process by letting go of the pull lever immediately.
2.
Immediately disrupt compressed-air supply provided by the system owner.
3.
Immediately disrupt the material supply for component A and component B provided by the
system owner.
4.
If there is no risk to one's own health, evacuate people from the danger area.
5.
If necessary, initiate first aid measures.
6.
Task specialised personnel with troubleshooting.
