Dragging to the middle of an existing range splits the range at the insertion point,
with the new sample assigned to the top part.
Open Sample in Editor
The Open Sample in Editor button opens the selected Sample in your preferred
external sample editing program, such as Peak, WaveLab, SoundForge, Spark,
Alchemy, etc. Use the Preferences window’s Sample Editor parameter (in the
Samples page) to select your preferred editor.
Korg’s factory samples cannot be edited
Note that Korg’s proprietary .kes sample
fi
les are encrypted, and so they cannot be
opened in external editors. When a .kes sample is selected, the Open Sample in
Editor button will be grayed out.
Re-Load Sample
The Re-Load Sample button re-loads the selected Sample from disk. Use this
command after editing and saving a Sample using an external sample editor.
Zoom In and Zoom Out
The zoom buttons allow you to change the size of the keyboard graphic.
Use the small keyboard to show a large keyboard range at one time, to get an
overview of the entire Multisample.
Use the large keyboard when editing Multisamples with small keyboard ranges,
such as drum kits.
