Connecting to a 12-pin Amphenol socket

on a circular 12-pin Amphenol socket
(Type 97-12-19S). This socket is used on the General Purpose Transceiver (GPT), and on
several versions of the Wide Band Transceiver (WBT).

The cable screen must be connected to the housing on the transducer plug.
Note
The black wires in the transducer cable are not for grounding. You must never connect these
together. You must never connect any of them to vessel ground.
We strongly recommend that you install the transducer cable in a steel conduit.
