Important:

before using the harness, find a completely safe po-
sition and carry out movements and suspension
tests on each attachment point to make sure the
harness is of the right size, adjusted properly and
comfortable for your intended use,

regularly check the closure of the adjustment buck-
les when in use.
8.2 - USE IN A FALL ARREST SYSTEM (EN 361)
Important:
a harness is only a component of a fall arrest
system, therefore it shall be connected to other devices
(i.e. shock absorber, ropes, etc.) in order to obtain a fall
arrest system conform to EN 363 norm.
Warning! only
dorsal attachment point (5) and sternal attachment
point (6) - marked with the letter A -are conform to this
purpose.
Examples of using them correctly with connection to the:
- dorsal attachment point (5) – (fig. 6),
- sternal attachment point (6) – (fig. 7):
8.3 - USE IN WORKING POSITIONING AND RE-
STRAINT (EN 358)
The ventral (7) and lateral (8) attachment points are suit-
able both for:
-
preventing the user to access a dangerous posi-
tion (fig. 8),
-
holding the user in the working position (work under
tension) – (fig. 9).
Warning:
-
check if the anchor point is conform to EN 795 norm
and always arrange it to remain above the user
waistline,
-
check/adjust the length of the lanyard so that it is al-
ways taught or with a maximum slack of 0.6 meters
(fig, 10).
8.4 - USE IN ROPE ACCESS (EN 813)
The ventral attachment point (7) is suitable for rope pro-
gression (fig. 11).
Examples of correct connections with other devices (fig.
12) and how to tie on (fig. 15).
8.5 - USE IN MOUNTAINEERING INCLUDING ROCK
CLIMBING (EN12277)
The sternal (6) and ventral (7) attachment points are
suited to use for mountaineering including rock climbing
(figs. 13 and 14).
Tie on to the attachment points with a figure-of-eight knot
(fig. 15).
Warning: death danger! tying on with one connector
is forbidden!
(fig. 16A).
Even if strongly unadvisable, it is possible to tie on with
two screw locking connectors (conforming to EN 362
norm) counter positioned as shown in fig. 16B.
9 - PRE AND POST USE CONTROLS
Control and make sure that:
- textile
parts: do not show signs of wear and tear, in
particular check the parts in contact with the buckles
and the sticking.
Warning of cut or loose threads!
-
buckles: do not show mechanical deformation
and/or cracks or wear and that they are working
properly.
