1 – GENERAL INFORMATION
A) Users must read and perfectly understand the informa-
tion provided by the manufacturer (hereinafter ‘informa-
tion’) before using the product.
Warning:
this information
relates to the characteristics, services, assembly, disas-
sembly, maintenance, conservation, disinfection, etc of
the product, even though it does include some sugges-
tions on how to use the products, it must not be consid-
ered as a true to life instruction manual (the same as a
use and maintenance handbook for a car that does not
teach how to drive it and does not replace the driving
school).
Warning:
climbing rocks and ice, abseiling, via
ferrata, speleology, alpine skiing, canyoning, exploration,
rescue work, tree climbing and works at a height are all
activities with a high degree of risk, possibly leading to ac-
cidents and even death. Avoid using this product if you
are not in a position to undertake these responsibilities
and assume these risks. You will completely undertake
alone all risks and liabilities against any damages, injuries
or death possibility incurred by you yourself or third parties
from using any of our products, no matter what type they
may be. Learn how to use this product and make sure you
have thoroughly understood how it works and its limits, in
doubt never take any risks but ask. Remember that:

this product shall be used by trained skilled persons
only otherwise the user shall be constantly super-
vised by said persons, who shall guarantee for their
safety,
- you are personally responsible for knowing this product,
learning how to use it and all the safety precautions in-
volved.
B) Carry out all the controls described in the specific prod-
uct-related information before and after use and particu-
larly make sure that the product is:
- in perfect condition and works well,
suited to the use you want to make of it, you are respon-
sible for the proper use of this product: techniques without
the cross only are allowed, any other usage is forbidden:
risk of death!
Keep a “control card” recording the results of controls.
C) If you have any doubts about the product’s safety and
working conditions, replace it immediately. Do not use the
product any more after a fall as any internal damage or
deformation not visible from outside could have consider-
ably reduced the strength. Improper use, mechanical de-
formation, accidentally dropping the equipment from a
height, wear, chemical contamination, exposure to be-
yond the normal climatic conditions (metal products only:
-30/+100°C – products with textile parts: -30/+50°C), are
a few examples of other causes possibly reducing, limiting
and even terminating the product’s service life.
Your life depends on the constant efficiency of your equip-
ment (we would earnestly recommend equipment for per-
sonal use only) and its history (use, storage, controls,
etc.).
D) This product can be used combined with personal pro-
tective equipment conforming to Directive 89/686/EEC
when compatible with the relevant information of the prod-
uct. When you intend to combine two (or more) products
