To change it back into the desired position, you have to turn
those parts. To change the position of the brake levers and the
gear shifter, loosen the clamp screws and twist them according
to your wishes. Then tight the clamping screws again. (image

Caution: Check the tightness of the handlebar. In
no case it may be able to twist. Do not exeed the
maximum torque values.
7.1.1 Folding the handlebar down
The handlbar can be folded down for better stowage. Push the
interlocking button on the quick release lever up and fold the
lever down. The handlebar can now be folded sideways against
the frame und will be hold in this position by a clip.
The quick release lever is ex factory adjusted free from play. In
case play developes, it can be readjusted at the nut underneat
the quick release lever. The nut only has to be turned by a
few degrees clockwise. If it is turned to far, the interlocking
button does not seize on the bolt head that sits on the side.
An accidential release of the lever could happen in this case.
The handlebar could fold down while riding, possibly causing
injury. We recommend to let a qualified mechanic do this
adjustment work.
7.2 Headset
In order to steer easily and safely, the fork´s bearing in the
frame headset (Image 41) must be of easy motion and without
play. During driving, dynamic loads caused by extremely
unevenness routes put a lot of stress on the headset and it is
possible that it loosens. Therefore, a regular check is indis
-
pensable.
Pull the front wheel brake with one hand and push the bike
forward and backward. If you notice a movement between
headset and frame, the headset has to be readjusted.
Attention: The adjustment of the headset requires
some experience. It is the best to let the dealer do
this check and adjustment.
