5. Behavior in road traffic
With the electric auxiliary drive you reach higher speeds more
quickly and experience faster accelerations, than you are used
from a normal bicycle. Therefore, you should familiarize your
-
self intensely with the pedelec on a traffic free road, before
you ride on public roads. During operation in the road traffic
you should strictly observe the following advice:
Wear a suitable helmet for your own safety on every ride

Familiarize yourself with the Highway Code and stick to the
■
rules
Be ready to brake at any time and expect misconduct of
■
others
Drive defensively and be considerate of other road users
■
Use bike lanes whenever possible
■
Always keep your bike in perfect technical condition
■
Use your bike only in accordance with its intended purpose
■
(see section „Intended use“)
Never use your mobile phone or headphones while riding
■
Be sure to respect the permissible total weight of the bike
■
of 150 kg (see specifications)
Let a specialize dworkshop check your pedelec absed on
■
the recommended inspection intervals
When you reach speeds above 40 km / h (eg. Downhill), an
acoustic signal is activated and the system can switch to the
„self-protection“ mode. Here the system is still in operation
(display is lit), but the engine does not support anymore and
will not be restarted automatically. To activate the motor assist
again press the power button on the display to completely
turn off the system. Then start it by pressing the power button
again.
