If the results are unacceptable, replace the center electrode or the electrode
plate.
By changing the orientation of the contact assembly, it is possible to take
measurements using an unused clean area of the center electrode. For
details, see
“Changing the Orientation of or Replacing the Contact
Assembly” on page 67
An electrode deterioration check using a deformed or stained shorting bar
may produce unacceptable check results. Replace the shorting bar if it is
deformed or if it cannot be cleaned.
