As we’re only hauling crew to Prestwick, the take-off roll will be short. As the aircraft starts to gather speed, keep
it running down the centre line with small rudder inputs. As you approach
155 knots
, start to raise the nose of
the aircraft. Slowly bring the nose up to approximately 10 degrees as you lift off the runway.
The aircraft will begin to climb away from the runway and you should be well clear of the ground by the time
you reach 170 knots. Raise the undercarriage using the
[G]
key and adjust elevator trim as required to maintain
a 15-degree pitch, manually holding the runway heading (273 degrees) and retracting the flaps as your speed
increases through 200 knots.
