Symbol What it means
POSSIBLE ICE ON THE ROAD
The symbol lights up (together with a dedicated message on the display) when the external temperature is less than or
equal to 3
°
C.
IMPORTANT In the event of outside temperature sensor failure, the digits that indicate the value are replaced by
dashes.
ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR MALFUNCTION
(where provided)
Engine oil pressure sensor malfunction is indicated when the symbol lights up continuously, along with the message
on the display.
FUEL CUT-OFF SYSTEM FAILURE
The symbol lights up, together with a message on the display, when a fuel cut-off system malfunction is detected.
Please contact your Jeep Dealership as soon as possible.
DEGRADED ENGINE OIL (where provided)
Diesel versions : the symbol is displayed on some versions, along with a dedicated message. The symbol is displayed
for 3 minute cycles and intervals of 5 seconds until oil is changed.
Petrol versions : the symbol is displayed only for a limited time.
IMPORTANT After the first indication, each time the engine is started the symbol will continue to switch on as
described above until the oil is changed. On certain versions a dedicated message is displayed.
IMPORTANT If the symbol flashes, this does not mean that the vehicle is faulty, but it simply reports that it is now
necessary to change the oil as a result of normal vehicle use. The deterioration of engine oil is accelerated by using
the vehicle for short drives, preventing the engine from reaching operating temperature.
EXTERIOR LIGHTS MALFUNCTION
The symbol turns on when a failure is detected in one of the following lights (where provided):
Daytime running lights (DRL)
tail lights
trailer direction indicators (where provided)
trailer lights (where provided)
side lights
direction indicator lights
rear fog lights
backup lamp
brake lights
number plate lights
LED low beam headlights (where provided)
