TRAILER TOWING
It is important that you do not exceed this limit on the front or rear axle. A dangerous driving condition can result if either rating is exceeded.
You could lose control of the vehicle and have a collision.
An improperly adjusted weight distributing hitch system may reduce handling, stability, and braking performance and could result in a
collision.
Weight Distributing Systems may not be compatible with Surge Brake Couplers. Consult with your hitch and trailer manufacturer or Jeep
authorized dealer.
The ABS system that this vehicle features does not control the trailer braking system. Particular caution is therefore required on slippery roads.
Do not, under any circumstances, modify the braking system of the vehicle to control the trailer breaking system. The towing braking system
must be completely independent of the hydraulic system of the vehicle.
ENGINE OVERHEATING
You or others can be badly burned by hot engine coolant (antifreeze) or steam from your radiator. If you see or hear steam coming from the
engine compartment, do not open the hood until the radiator has had time to cool. Never try to open a cooling system pressure cap when the
radiator or coolant bottle is hot.
AIR CLEANER
The air inlet system (air cleaner, hoses, etc.) can provide a measure of protection in the case of engine backfire. DO NOT REMOVE this system
unless it is necessary for repair or maintenance. Before starting the engine, ensure that the system has not been removed: failure to observe
this precaution may result in serious injury.
The air induction system (air cleaner, hoses, etc) can provide a measure of protection in the case of engine backfire. Do not remove the air
induction system (air cleaner, hoses, etc.) unless such removal is necessary for repair or maintenance. Make sure that no one is near the
engine compartment before starting the vehicle with the air induction system (air cleaner, hoses, etc.) removed. Failure to do so can result in
serious personal injury.
AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM MAINTENANCE
Use only refrigerants and compressor lubricants approved by the manufacturer for your air conditioning system. Some unapproved refrigerants
are flammable and can explode, injuring you. Other unapproved refrigerants or lubricants can cause the system to fail, requiring costly repairs.
Refer to the Warranty Information Book,
located in your owner’s information kit, for further warranty information.
The air conditioning system contains refrigerant under high pressure. To avoid risk of personal injury or damage to the system, adding
refrigerant or any repair requiring lines to be disconnected should be done by an experienced technician.
