Automatic Cell Balancing
This mode of operation requires
the cell monitor to be
connected to the battery before
the capacity test can begin. In
this mode the battery will be
discharged at the specified
current until the battery voltage
and the discharge current both
fall below 2.0V and 3.0A
respectively, at which point the
unit will automatically switch in
all balancing resistors and the
unit will cease to discharge the
battery relying on the balancing
resistors to continue to
discharge the battery. During
the discharge if any cells falls
to below zero volts the resistor
will be switched in earlier to
reduce the reverse charge
condition. This mode will
remain in operation until the
discharge time has elapsed or
the
CLR
key is pressed. During
the total discharge process the
cell voltages can be monitored
and printed by pressing the
ENT
key.
The parameters required for
this mode are as follows: -
Number Of Cells :
The
number of cells in the battery
pack.
Discharge Amps :
This is
the constant current amps to
discharge the battery.
Test Time :
This is the
maximum time at which the
discharge test is to be
performed.
