4.3 Additional functions
4.3.1 Basic settings
1. Display behaviour
Use the menu items
to select:
= The display will extinguish 2 minutes
after a button was pressed. When a
button is pressed, the display will light
up for 2 minutes again.
= The display will light up constantly.
2. Response time of the LEDs
LEDs immediately respond to any change of
the brightness setting. To simulate the slow
response of conventional lamps, four re
-
sponse levels can be set via the menu items
(dimmer):
= immediate response of the LEDs
= slightly slow response of the LEDs
…
= slowest response of the LEDs
In the 10-channel DMX mode and in the 18-
channel DMX mode, the response time of the
LEDs can also be set via the light controller
(
fig. 7).
3. Colour temperature
The factory setting of the light effect panel is
such that the colours red, green, blue and
white – when set to maximum brightness –
result in a specific shade of white. This shade
of white may be changed to appear warmer
or colder, e. g. to level out the differences to
other light effect units or spotlights when they
are controlled together with the RGBL-
422DMX: Via the menu items
, the
maximum brightness possible can be re
-
duced for each colour ( = red, = green,
= blue, = white). Set the menu item
to
for the setting to take effect.
4.3.2 Transferring unit settings
to other RGBL-422DMX
All settings and programs (with the exception of
the DMX start address and the colour tempera-
ture) can be transferred to other RGBL-422DMX
if they are connected with each other via the
DMX connections.
1) If a DMX light controller is connected: First
disconnect the DMX light controller from the
RGBL-422DMX.
2) For the transfer, select the menu items
and then press the button
↵
.
4.3.3 Reset (restart)
If the light effect panel cannot be properly
controlled during operation, it may be restarted
without switching the power supply off and on:
Select the menu items
and press the
button
↵
. After restart, the DMX mode will be
switched on.
In the DMX mode (7-channel mode, 10-
channel mode, 18-channel mode), the light
effect panel can also be reset via the light con-
troller (
table in fig. 7, last line).
4.3.4 Resetting the unit to its factory settings
The factory settings of the light effect panel are
as follows:
factory settings

tings, select the menu items
and then press the button
↵
