Setting the Operating Mode with more than One Control Panel
You can control GAIN, GAMMA, and other levels from remote control panels. To control levels, the RCP-50 and OCP use
potentiometers (absolute value control) and the MCP uses rotary encoders (relative value control).
Control may be performed for one level control item using multiple remote control panels connected to the BS-79. There are two
operating modes, split mode and parallel mode. In the split mode, one of the remote control panels is granted the right to control
the camera head. In contrast, in the parallel mode, you can control the camera head from multiple remote control panels
simultaneously. To switch between the parallel and split modes, use switch 5 of DIP switch S2 in the MPU & D/A module inside
the BS-79.

Split mode
: One of the remote control panels connected to the BS-79 has the control right and the other control
panels cannot be used to control the camera head. To grant the control right, press the PANEL
ENABLE switch on the target remote control panel.
•
Parallel mode
: You can control the camera head from all remote control panels connected to the BS-79.
Supplementary information
When an RCP-50 is mounted on the front of the BS, the remote control panel connected to the OCP/CCP connector
on the back panel cannot be used to control the camera head. Placing the RCP ON/OFF switch to the "OFF" position
enables the remote control panel to control the camera head, however.
