Installation and Servicing

54 IgNITION ELECTRODE REpLaCEMENT

Refer to Frame 49.

Remove the burner. Refer to Frame 52.

Unplug the ignition lead from the electrode.

Remove the earth lead from the ignition electrode.

Remove the 2 screws holding the ignition

electrode to the combustion chamber.

Remove the electrode.

Fit the new ignition electrode, using the new

gasket supplied. Check dimensions as shown.

Reassemble in reverse order.

Check the operation of the boiler. Refer to Frames

38 & 39.

53 CONTROL ThERMIsTOR & RETURN ThERMIsTOR RENEWaL

Refer to Frame 49.

Unclip the control thermistor from the flow pipe and withdraw it from the

boiler.

Unclip the return thermistor from the return pipe and withdraw it from the

boiler.

Disconnect the electrical leads from the thermistors.

Reconnect the electrical leads to the new thermistors and reassemble in

reverse order, ensuring that the thermistors are securely fitted to the pipes on

the thermistor locator tabs as shown.

Check the operation of the boiler. Refer to Frames 38 & 39.
