Viewing machine reported product data (MRPD)
This topic explains how to view machine reported product data, or MRPD.
MRPD is the sub process that provides the capability of a system to report its own
current hardware and software configuration information and vital product data,
and make it available to those IBM processes and applications that need timely
and accurate machine configuration information. Product data is gathered by a
machine and sent to a destination, such as an IBM support server.
You can display machine product data using ProtecTIER Manager:
1. From the Systems Management view, choose Reports > View product data
(MRPD)
. The View product data (MRPD) window is displayed:
2. Analyze the data to determine the required action. When you are finished, click
Ok
to close the window.
Monitoring backup and deduplication activities
