Installing the CD-ROM Device Driver for OS/2
This section describes the installation of the CD-ROM device driver
for OS/2. Have the diskettes that came with the OS/2 system ready;
then install the CD-ROM device driver for OS/2:

Turn on the computer; then start OS/2.

Double-click on the OS/2 System icon.

Double-click on the System Setup icon.

Double-click on the Selective Install icon.

Select CD-ROM Device Support; then click on OK.

Select Other and click on OK; then click on OK again at
the System Configuration menu.

At the OS/2 Setup and Configuration menu, select
Install.

Follow the instructions on the screen.
Do not shut down the system when you are told to.
Follow these instructions instead.

Insert the ThinkPad CD-ROM Device Driver Diskette into
the diskette drive.

Double-click on the System Setup icon; then double-click
on the Device Driver Install icon.

Verify the source directory for the device driver (A:\OS2);
then follow the instructions on the screen to complete the
installation.
You have completed the installation of the CD-ROM device driver. If
you want to continue to install all device drivers, continue with
“Installing the ThinkPad Features Program for OS/2” on page 214.
