Installing OS/2 Warp with Dual Boot
When you install OS/2 Warp with Dual Boot, do the following before
actually installing OS/2:
To install the DOS ThinkPad
Features program:
Page 227.
To install the Windows ThinkPad
Features program:
Page 237.
If DOS and Windows are not installed in the computer, install DOS
and Windows, and the ThinkPad Features program for both DOS
and Windows.
Install OS/2 Warp.
If you are installing the diskette version of OS/2 Warp, refer to
the documentation.
Note:
If you have the OS/2 Warp 3.0
FixPak WFP_ (XR0W005), install it
after you complete the installation of
OS/2 Warp. Follow the instructions
in the README.1ST file in diskette 1
of that FixPak.
Be sure to pay attention to the following during installation:
– Select VGA as the Primary Display in the System
Configuration screen.
– Do not select the PCMCIA Feature in the System
Configuration screen. Leave it as No Support Installed.
If you are installing the CD-ROM version of OS/2 Warp using the
CD-ROM drive, choose one of the following according to your
configuration:
– To use the CD-ROM drive and an externally attached
diskette drive, go to “Installing OS/2 Warp Using an External
Diskette Drive” on page 208.
– To use the CD-ROM drive and the internal diskette drive and
be able to switch between them, go to “Installing OS/2 Warp
Using the Internal CD-ROM and Diskette Drive” on
page 209.
Important
You need at least 90MB of free space on the hard disk
drive.
