Installing a four-bay hard disk drive bracket and cable assembly
To install a four-bay hard disk drive bracket and cable assembly in the storage
enclosure, complete the following steps.

1. Touch the static-protective package that contains the hard disk drive bracket
and cable assembly to any
unpainted
metal surface on the outside of the
storage enclosure; then, remove the hard disk drive bracket and cable assembly
from the package.
2. Place the hard disk drive bracket and cable assembly on the mounting tabs
inside the storage enclosure; then, press down on the hard disk drive bracket
and cable assembly until the release latches click into place.
3. Reconnect the hard disk drive bracket and cable assembly cables.
4. Install the hard disk drives, if you removed any from the storage enclosure (see
“Installing a 3.5-inch simple-swap hard disk drive” on page 91).
5. Install the storage enclosure (see “Installing an expansion enclosure on a
system-board tray” on page 74).
6. Install the system-board tray in the chassis (see “Installing the system-board
tray in a 2U chassis” on page 76).
