This

provides
instructions

install
the
AMCC
SBUS
adapter
driver.
1.
Go
to
http://www.amcc.com
2.
From
the
navigation
menu
at
the
top
of
the
page,
click
Drivers/Downloads
.
3.
Select
the
type
of
driver
that
you
are
interested
in
and
follow
the
instructions
from
the
web
site.
4.
Follow
the
instructions
in
the
readme.txt
file
to
install
the
AMCC
SBUS
adapter
card.
5.
Update
the
parameter
list
and
restart
the
host
system.

Table
11
on
page
172
for
the
parameters
and
recommended
settings.
Installing
the
QLogic
adapter
card
in
the
Sun
host
This
section
tells
you
how
to
attach
a
storage
unit
to
a
Sun
host
system
running
Solaris
8
or
9
with
the
QLogic
adapter
cards.
1.
Shutdown
your
system.
2.
Insert
the
QLogic
adapter
into
a
PCI
or
SBUS
slot
for
the
QLogic
adapter
in
the
system,
and
connect
the
adapter
to
your
fibre-channel
disk.
3.
Restart
the
system.
Downloading
the
QLogic
adapter
driver
for
Sun
This
section
provides
instructions
to
download
the
current
adapter
driver
onto
the
QLogic
adapter
card.
1.
Go
to

the
current
version
of
the
driver

approved
drivers
and
firmware
section.
8.
Navigate
to
the
part
of
the
page
for
the
adapter
you
want
to
download,
then

Installing
the
QLogic
adapter
driver
package
for
Sun
This
section
provides
instructions
to
install
the
QLogic
host
adapter
driver
package.
1.
Obtain
a
copy
of
the
package
image
file,
qla23
xx
.Z
by
performing
the
steps
in
“Downloading
the
QLogic
adapter
driver
for
Sun.”
2.
Log
in
to
your
Solaris
system
as
root.
3.
Type
cd/tmp
to
change
the
directory
to
a
temporary
directory.
4.
Type
the
following
command
to
copy
the
compressed
package
file
to
the
/tmp
directory:
cp
<source
directory>/qla23
xx
.Z
where
<source
directory>
is
the
directory
where
the
compressed
package
file
resides
after
downloading
the
driver
from
the
QLogic
Web
site.
5.
Type
the
following
command
to
uncompress
the
package
file:
uncompress
qla23
xx
.Z
Note:
You
must
use
an
upper
case
Z
when
you
specify
the
file
name.
