Chapter 12. Attaching to an Intel host running VMware ESX
server
This chapter provides instructions, requirements, and considerations for attaching
an Intel host system running VMware ESX server to a storage unit.
Supported adapter cards for an Intel host running VMware ESX Server
This section provides a list of the supported adapter cards for an Intel host running
VMware ESX Server.
This section describes how to attach an Intel server running VMware to a storage
unit with the following fibre-channel adapters:
v QLogic QLA2310FL adapter card
v QLogic QLA2340FL adapter card
v QLogic QLA2342FL adapter card
v
Emulex LP9402DC adapter card
v Emulex LP9802 adapter card

Note: The steps to install and configure adapter cards are examples. Your
