Write the box serial number into the Vital Product Data on the new system card. Go into the
firmware (see “The Firmware Interface” on page F-1) and follow the procedures for using the Utilities
option.

a. Under Utilities, select option 9 "View or Set Vital Product Data"
b. Select slot B

c. Select the "Hardware Vital Product Data" option

d. Type in the box serial number.

Notify the network administrator that you are finished repairing the 2216.
