Running Quick Configuration
Question How do I run the Quick Configuration program?
Answer First, make sure each adapter has been “added” (see “Adding an
Adapter at Initial Configuration”). Then, at the
Config (only) or Config>
prompt, enter qc.
Disabling an Adapter Port
Question How do I disable a configured adapter port to remove the adapter from
the software configuration?
Answer

Access the command line interface ( * prompt).

Type talk 6 and press Enter twice to reach the
Config>
prompt.

Enter list device.

Make a note of the interface number of the adapter you wish to
disable.

Enter disable interface
interface number.

Enter write to save your changes. The next time that the 2216 is
rebooted the configuration changes become active.

Question How do I enable a configured adapter port that was disabled using
disable interface (in “Disabling an Adapter Port”)?
Use this procedure to enable the port the next time that you reboot the
2216.
