The A40/A40P CMOS clear/recovery jumper pins are numbered as
follows:

Pin 1 is the farthest from the battery.

Jumper Setting Description
CMOS Reset 2-3 CMOS Reset/Flash Recovery Mode
1-2 (D) Normal Mode
A40/ A40P Processor Speed Settings
Processor speed for type 6568/6569/6648/6649 computers are fixed and are
determined by the processor. There are no settings required.
A40/A40P Diskette Write Access
Diskette Write Enable and Write Protect options are changed in the Setup
Configuration. See “Setup Utility program” on page 41.
