IPDS
The following information applies if you write your own IPDS application code. If
you use an application such as IBM’s PSF products which generate IPDS to send to
the printer, then one of these new code pages would be requested the same way as
current code pages are requested. The new code page number is substituted,
though.
In IPDS programming, the printer indicates to the host system that it supports the
eleven new EBCDIC code pages in its OPC (Obtain Printer Characteristics)
response. The printer accepts requests for these new code pages in the LFE (Load
Font Equivalent) command. In the LFE command, the code pages are identified by
their CPGID. The CPGID for each code pages is the code page number expressed
in hexadecimal notation. For example, for code page 1140, the CPGID is x’0474’.

Twinax SCS (PDS)
The following information applies if you write your own SCS application code.
Normally this is not done. If you use an application, such as IBM’s AS/400 system,
that generates SCS to send to the printer, then one of these new code pages would
be requested the same way as current code pages are requested. The new code
page number is substituted, though.
Note: Code page 924 is not explicitly supported by the AS/400 system.
In PDS programming, to select these code pages from the Twinax SCS (PDS) data
stream, issue the SCGL (Set CGCS through Local ID) command with the
appropriate local id, as follows:

Coax SCS and DSC/DSE
Code pages cannot be selected from the Coax SCS data stream or from the Coax
DSC/DSE data streams. Only operator panel selection is supported for Coax
non-IPDS applications. Code page 924 is not supported in the Coax Configuration
operator panel.
PPDS
To select these code pages from the PPDS data stream, issue the ESC [ T (Select
Code Page) command. The parameter values for the two new code pages are as
