Remove the CPSW module (see “CPSW / CPSW2 Exchange” on page 4-9).

Locate the defective memory module

Remove the memory module by releasing the clips at either end of the module, then slide the
module upwards gently and lift out.

Position the new module above the socket on the CPSW module, making sure that the ned with the
notch is facing to the rear of the module.

Gently insert the module into the socket at 45 degrees.

Push gently downwards on the module until it clips into place.

Re-install the CPSW module:
a
Insert the CPSW module in its slot position by matching the top and bottom board guides as
you slide the module cleanly into place (by pressing evenly on the top and bottom of the
faceplate).

Fasten the spring-loaded screws on the top and bottom of the front panel of the module to the
chassis using your finger. Do not over-tighten.

If the 8265 is already powered on, press the LED Test button to ensure that all LEDs are functional
(optional).
