Appendix D: Using the IBM 5250 Express TCP/IP Driver
This section describes the workstation prerequisites, supported adapters, and
installation instructions for the IBM 5250 Express TCP/IP Driver.
Workstation Prerequisites
The IBM 5250 Express TCP/IP Driver is intended only for computers running
the Windows 95/98 or Microsoft NT 4.0 Operating Systems. For proper
operation, ensure the following service pack updates are installed:
• Microsoft Windows 95
- Version 4.00.950b (OSR2) or Version 4.00.950a (Service Pack 1)
Update Service Pack 1 installations with the following Microsoft
fixes available from:
http://www.microsoft.com/communications/
PPTPdownload0.html
download and install the following fixes:
• wsockupd.exe 192,680 bytes
• msdun12.exe
• Microsoft Windows NT 4.0
- Version 4.00.1381 Service Pack 3 or later. Upgrade Service Pack 3
installations with the Microsoft fixes available from:

Supported Adapters
The IBM 5250 Express TCP/IP Driver supports the following adapters:
• IBM 5250 Express PCI
• IBM 5250 Express PC Card
• IBM 5250 Express ISA
• IBM 5250 Enhanced Display Station Emulation Adapter with card part
numbers 92G5364 or 88H0240
For all adapter types to function properly on the workstation controller, the
following parameters are required during Windows NT and Windows 95/98
installation:
Station Address
Select Station Address and specify the address of the IBM 5250 adapter
installed in your computer. The station address can be assigned a value
between 0 and 6; however this value must be unique on the workstation
controller port to which the computer is connected. If you specify an address
