GIBRALTAR II BRIDGE/
QUICK CHANGE II TAILPIECE
To adjust the action, use your fingers to turn the adjustment spin-
ners (Fig. 28 A) located at the left and right ends of the bridge.
Since the adjustment spinners are locked by stud lock bolts (Fig. 28
B), you must use a Philips (+) screwdriver to loosen the stud lock
bolts before adjustment. When you have finished the adjustment,
you must once again tighten the stud lock bolts to lock the adjust-
ment spinners. Each saddle is also locked by a saddle lock screw
(Fig. 28 C). To adjust the intonation, use a minus (-) screwdriver
to loosen the saddle lock screws, and then adjust the intonation
screws (Fig. 28 D). When you are finished with the adjustment,
lock the saddle lock screws and tune the guitar.
On the Quick Change II tailpiece, the action can be adjusted by
using a minus (-) screwdriver or a coin to turn the adjustment bolts
at either end (Fig. 29). Lowering the action will decrease the string
tension, making the strings feel softer.
GIBRALTAR PLUS BRIDGE
To adjust the height of the entire action, turn the stud bolts located
at the left and right ends of the bridge (Fig. 30 A) using a flat-blade
(-) screw driver or coin.
To adjust the intonation, adjust the adjustment screw for each
bridge saddle (Fig. 30 B) from the rear of the bridge using a Philips
(+) screwdriver.
