TAKING THE CRANE OUT OF SERVICE
At the end of its working life or for other reasons, it may be necessary to take the crane out of
service. You must contact an authorised assistance centre to put the crane out of service.
C.6.1 DISASSEMBLY
Follow this procedure in case of disassembly of a crane:
1) Prepare a site suitable for disassembly and a lifting device with proper load capacity.
2) After positioning the vehicle and applying the parking brake, fold the crane into its transport
configuration.
3) Disconnect the electrical connections from the electrical system of vehicle.
4) Disconnect the hydraulic connections to pump and tank. Beware of escaping oil.
5) Connect the crane to a lifting device, remove the crane mounting bolts.
6) Lift the crane and place it in a flat and stable position on the ground.
7) Remove pump, PTO and cardan shaft and replace the original covers on the gearbox take-off of
vehicle.
8) Protect all disassembled crane parts from atmospheric agents.
All disassembled elements (plastics, batteries, hydraulic oil, hoses, etc.) must be collected and
eventually disposed of in compliance with legislative requirements.
C.6.2 STORAGE
The crane must be stored with the following precautions:
- Close the crane in transport position, on a flat and stable ground.
- Cut off the hydraulic and electric circuits.
- Secure the crane properly in order to avoid falls due to accidental impacts.
- Carry out all precautions in order to avoid leakage of polluting materials and substances of the
crane (oil, grease, plastic, hoses, etc.)
- Protect the crane from atmospheric agents (water, humidity, marine environment, etc.) with
suitable package.
C.6.3 DISPOSAL
The crane and all components must be disposed of by an authorised waste management company
in accordance with current legislation. Verify that all components cannot be re-used.
