Swivel Bridge Counterweight Adapter
The optional counterweight and adapter for the installation of a counterweight bridge are
designed to be used in a
swivel bridge 90° front cantilever confi guration
to increase
the capacity of the forward cantilevers used in the setup. The counterweight adapter is
required to attach a counterweight bridge to the swivel bridge. The use of a counterweight
for any other swivel bridge confi guration is not advantageous and should not be considered.

Make sure that the motorized unit has been installed following the installation guidelines
starting on p. 17 of the
Motorized Unit
section and that it can be operated safely. It
is
mandatory
to
pre-install all tie levels
up to the top of the work
before
installing
the optional swivel bridge counterweight adapter.
2-
Before installing the counterweight adapter, make sure that there are no forward
cantilevers installed (“5” in fi g. 3.53).The only bridges allowed at this point are the
swivel bridge and any cantilever, bearing bridge or swivel confi guration required and
allowed on the other side of the mast (“2” in fi g. 3.53).
