5.3.1.2 Logging In to the HMM CLI Through the Management Network Port

of a Server Node

Procedure

● You can log in to the HMM CLI through the HMM management network port or server

node iBMC management network port if 1) you are connected to both the server node

iBMC management network port and the aggregation network port, and 2) transparent

transmission is enabled on the server node.

● If you log in to the HMM CLI through the server node management network port, the

management network port mode must be the fixed or automatic mode.

Step 1 Connect the PC to the iBMC management network port of the server node.

Connect the PC to the iBMC management network port on the server node using

a network cable. See 

Figure 5-4

.

Step 2 Set the IP address of the PC.

1. Set the IP address, subnet mask, or route of the PC and ensure that the PC

can communicate with the iBMC management network port.
Run the Ping 

iBMC management network port IP address

 command on the

PC CLI to check whether the PC can properly communicate with the server.

Step 3 Log in to the iBMC WebUI of the server node.
