4.4 Replacing Fire Extinguishing System Components

4.4.1 Changing an Address Code
Prerequisites
Before replacing a fire extinguishing device, reset the address code for the device.
Procedure
1. Press and hold the ON/OFF key on the encoder for 1 second to start the
encoder.
2. Press # to switch the mode. When 324 is displayed on the screen, use a
dedicated external connection cable to connect the terminal device and set
the address code for the device on the bus.
NO TE
● The encoding indicator is steady on. Press the number keys to enter the address
code to be encoded, and then press the Run/Stop key to encode the address code.
● After the encoding is successful, the address code is displayed on the screen, and
the buzzer sounds once.
● If the encoding fails, the screen blinks
, and the buzzer sounds three times.
In this case, check that the cable connection and terminal type are correct, and
then perform the encoding again.
● If an incorrect address is entered, press Delete to delete the address and enter the
address to be encoded again.
3. On the screen of the fire alarm control panel, choose Operation > Auto
Login to register the preset address code in the fire alarm control panel.
4. Choose Bus Setting > Detector/Module Setting. Check that the device type
of the gas release indicator, fire alarm horn/strobe, and input/output module
corresponds to gas release indicator, indoor fire alarm horn/strobe, and
outdoor fire alarm horn/strobe respectively. If not, select the correct device
type from the drop-down list.
4.4.2 Replacing a Smoke Detector
Prerequisites
A spare smoke detector of the same model is available and functional.
Impact on the System
The fire extinguishing system stops working during the replacement.
