Adding a group (administrator only)
This option allows you to add a group that has already been set up on the AD domain to which the
StoreOnce System has been joined. When adding a group, you must choose a role for the group. All
members of this group will have the same role.
NOTE:
If, after creating the group, you configure a member of that group as an individual user (external
user) with an admin role, that user will then be an Admin even if the group role is set to Operator. (Role
permissions set through
Add User
take precedence over role permissions in
Add Group
.)
Procedure
1.

If the group does not exist in your domain, exists already on the AD domain, or if there is missing

Modifying a local user
The administrator user and users created with a user role of
admin
can modify any local user password.
The operator user and users created with a user role of
user
may only modify their own password and
cannot change the role of a group or any other user.
Procedure

Select the appropriate user.

Modify

3.
If required, change the role of the user.
4.
Enter and confirm the new password.
5.
Click
OK

A confirmation window opens.

The administrator user and users created with a user role of

can modify the role of an external
user or external group. The operator user and users created with a user role of

may only modify
their own password and cannot change the role of a group or any other user.
