Before removing the display cable, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the service door (see Service door on page 28 ).
5. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 29 ).
6. Disconnect the battery (see Battery on page 30 ).
Remove the display cable:
1. Remove the two Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws (1) that secure the display cable to the computer.
2. Lift the eDP bracket from atop the connector (2).
3. Disconnect the cable from the system board (3).
4. Remove the cable from the clips along its routing path (4).
Reverse this procedure to install the display cable.
