Managing Volume Groups
Viewing Volume Groups
A volume group is made up of one or more LUNs.
Note:
To view file volumes in a volume group on a high-availability system, select the
node that is running the associated failover package.
To view the volume group:
1. In Command View NAS, click the Storage tab.
2. Navigate to Volume Groups.
A table displays the following drive information for every volume group:
■
Name
■
Capacity
■
Allocated space assigned from a volume group to one or more file
volumes/snapshots
■
Space available in the volume group for file volume/snapshot creation
You can click on a column heading to sort items in that column. The Actions
button in the upper left corner lets you:
■
Create, edit, and delete volume groups
■
View either the Volume Group Table or the Volume Group Path Tree (you can
also select these icons in the toolbar)
■
Refresh the information in the table
Once you have created a volume group, you are ready to create new file volumes.
