3. Using the emulator transfer (or send fi le) command, send the fi rmware to the controller.
The following instructions and examples use HyperTerminal. For more information, see user
documentation for your emulator program.
a.
On the menu bar at the top of the HyperTerminal window, select Transfer > Send File.
b. Click Browse and navigate to the location of the fi rmware image obtained in step 1 .
c. Expand the Protocol drop-down box and select 1K XModem .
d. Click Send.
A status window is displayed.
4. Wait for the transfer process to complete.
NOTE:
This process may take up to 15 minutes. Do not interrupt this process.
5. Wait for the controller to automatically restart.
6. In dual-controller con fi gurations only, if the newly installed fi rmware on the recovered controller
differs from the fi rmware on the active controller, the
CLONE FIRMWARE
LCD message is displayed.
