To connect the MSA1510i to the network switch, use quali

ed Category 5e (or better) Ethernet cables.
IMPORTANT:
Make sure that the
fi
rst connection to the network switch is from port 0 (top port) of the primary Ethernet
iSCSI module. This port is con
fi
gured to carry both management and iSCSI storage traf
fi
c.
NOTE:
To obtain 1000BaseT performance from the MSA1510i, use 1000BaseT Ethernet NICs, 1000BaseT
network switches, and connect the devices using Category 5e or better quali
fi
ed Ethernet cables.
100BaseT devices and cables in the network cause the MSA1510i to reduce its performance level to
that of the slowest network component.
