This section describes how to install the following:

3Com 3C562 EtherLink III LAN+33.6 Modem PC card.

Intel EtherExpress PRO/100B PCI LAN adapter.

To install a Xircom Ethernet IIps PC card

Requirements

♦

OmniBook 800 with Windows NT 4.0 installed.

♦

Xircom Ethernet IIps PC card.

♦

Windows NT 4.0 CD-ROM.

Configuration

♦

I/O Port: 0x300.

♦

Memory Address: 0xD4000.

♦

Interrupt: 11.

♦

Mode: I/O Mode.

♦

Cable Type: Auto Detect.

This procedure assumes that Windows NT Networking has not been installed.

1. Insert the PC card and restart Windows NT 4.0.

2. From Control Panel, double-click Network.

3. Click Yes to begin the Windows NT Network Installation.

4. Check Wired to network, then click Next.

5. Click Select from list, select the Xircom CreditCard Ethernet IIps, then click OK.

6. Click Next to accept the Xircom CreditCard Ethernet IIps.
