How Do I Set Up a Multiplexer BER 
Test?

The bit error rate (BER) of a multiplexer can be measured by sourcing a 

PRWS (pseudo random word stream) segment to the DUT and comparing 

the serial output with a PRBS (pseudo random bit stream) segment of the 

same order.

The connections could be made as shown below:
