Description

Blinking: The device is using battery power, or may be
in Sleep mode, a power-saving state.

Off: The device is off.
Right TouchPad button
Functions like the right button on an external mouse.
RJ-45 (network) jack/status lights
On select devices, this jack connects a network cable and
the lights indicate jack functionality.
●
White: The network is connected.
●
Amber: Activity is occurring on the network.
Security cable slot
Attaches an optional security cable to the device.
NOTE:
The security cable is designed to act as a
deterrent, but it may not prevent the device from being
mishandled or stolen.
SIM slot
Supports a wireless subscriber identity module (SIM). For
more information on the location of the SIM slot, see the
Quick Start
guide or
Setup Instructions
poster included with
your device.
CAUTION:
To prevent damage to the connectors, use
minimal force when inserting a SIM.
To insert a SIM:

Hold the SIM label-side up, with connectors facing the
slot, insert the SIM into the slot, and then push in on
the SIM until it is firmly seated.
To remove a SIM:

Press in on the SIM it until it pops out.
NOTE:
SIM refers to a SIM, micro SIM, or nano SIM.
NOTE:
SIM size varies by product, SIM, micro SIM, or
nano SIM.
Speakers
Produce sound.
TouchPad light
On: The TouchPad is off.
TouchPad zone
Reads your finger gestures to move the pointer or activate
items on the screen.
NOTE:
The TouchPad also supports edge-swipe
gestures.
USB 2.0 charging (powered) port
Connects an optional USB device, such as a keyboard,
mouse, external drive, printer, scanner or USB hub.
Standard USB ports will not charge all USB devices or will
charge using a low current. Some USB devices require
power and require you to use a powered port.
NOTE:
USB charging ports can also charge select models
of cell phones and MP3 players, even when the device is
off.
USB 2.0 port
Connects an optional USB device, such as a keyboard,
mouse, external drive, printer, scanner or USB hub.
