1.3 Qualification and training
of personnel
The 6 / 7 / 8 GS must only be used, serviced and
repaired by persons who are familiar with such
procedures and who have been informed about
the related dangers. The operator is obliged to
exactly specify the area of responsibility, com-
petence and the monitoring of personnel.
If the personnel does not have appropriate
knowledge, it must be trained and instructed
accordingly. A person being instructed must only
work with or on the machine under the supervi-
sion of an experienced person.
The operator must further make sure that the
personnel has read and understood the contents
of these operating instructions.

Repair work not described in these operating
instructions must only be carried out in author-
ized expert workshops.
As far as service and maintenance tasks
are marked with the appendix “Work-
shop work”, they must only be carried
out by an expert workshop.

The personnel in an expert has the
necessary knowledge and also the
appropriate utilities (tools, lifting and
supporting gear) for a proper and safety
related execution of all work required for
maintenance and repair of the machine.
