8.5 Spraying operation
Pay attention to the separate operat-
ing instructions for the control termi-
nal/job computer.
8.5.1 Special notes for spraying
operation

Check the crop protection sprayer by
volu-
metric measurement
- before the start of the season.
- in case of deviations between the actually
displayed spraying pressure and the spray
ing pressure required as per spraying table.

Before starting spraying operation exactly de-
termine the necessary
application quantity
by using the instructions for use issued by the
crop protection agent manufacturer.
¾
Enter the required application quantity (nomi-
nal quantity) into the
terminal
before starting
spraying operation.
¾
Strictly adhere to the required application
quantity [l/ha] when spraying,
- to achieve an optimal treatment success with
the crop protection measure.
- to avoid unnecessary environmental hazards.
¾
Choose the required
nozzle type
from the
spraying table before starting spraying – un-
der due consideration
- of the intended travel speed,
- the required application quantity and
- the required atomizing characteristic (fine,
medium or coarse drops) of the crop pro
tection agent used for the crop protection
measure to be carried out.

8.4.5 Pre-cleaning the canister
with fresh water
Cleaning the canisters with flushing wa
-
ter dilutes the chemical concentration!
1. Set the suction side to fresh water (e).
2. Open the lid on the induction hopper
3. Switch on the injector (d).
The spraying pump starts automatically.
4. Open the switch-over ball valve (k).
5. Switch on
canister flushing (f).
6. Put the canister or other containers over the
canister flushing facility and press down and
keep turning for at least 30 seconds.
7. Close the switch-over ball valve again.
8.
Switch off the injector.
Water or chemical emerges from the
canister flushing, when the
pressure
plate is pressed down.
