Inspection of brake lining
Open the inspection hole (1) by pulling out the
rubber plug (if present).
The brake lining must be renewed at a residual
lining thickness of
a) riveted linings
5 mm
(N 2504)
3 mm
b) glued linings
2 mm
Reinsert the rubber plug.
Brake adjustment
Due to its function, the function and wear of
the brake must be checked continuously and
adjusted, if this should be necessary.
Resetting the brake is necessary, if approx. 2/3
of the max. cylinder stroke is utilized for flat-out
braking.
For this purpose jack up the axle and secure it
against accidental movement.
Drain the air vessel every day.
Draining the air vessel (left and right)
Pull the drain valve (3) by the ring towards the
side, until water stops running out from the air
vessel through the valve.
Cleaning the air vessel (left and right)
In case of contamination unscrew the drain valve
(3) from the air vessel and clean the air vessel.
