Chapter 2 — Set Up the Printer

PM42 Industrial Label Printer User Manual

Route the ribbon through the print mechanism and pull out
approximately 20 cm (8 inches) of ribbon leader.

The dashed line shows how to load ribbon with the ink wound in.

Turn the ribbon takeup hub counterclockwise until the ribbon
becomes tight and runs wrinkle-free through the print mechanism.

Load media.

Turn the printhead lift lever clockwise to lower the printhead.

Close the media cover.

Press the

Print

button to advance the media.

Configure the printer for the correct media type: media with gaps,
black mark, continuous fixed length, or continuous variable length.

Set the print method to ribbon (TTR).

Calibrate the sensors:
