About the CAC Reader
Honeywell offers a Common Access Card (CAC) for the CN80G:
•
Honeywell Snap-on CAC reader (CN80G-CAC)
Before you connect the CN80G to a CAC reader, make sure you have the most
current software installed. To check the computer’s system information:
1. Swipe up from the bottom of the Home screen to access all apps.
2. Tap
HUpgrader
to open the Honeywell Updater app. The OTA version
number installed on the computer appears on the screen.
The OTA version must be CN80G-O-85.06.04-(0012)
or higher. The software
delivered with the reader enables the terminal to work with the CAC reader.
Caution: The CAC reader is not certified for use in a hazardous
environment.
