Disconnect the fuel and vacuum tubes.

Remove the seat.

Disconnect the fuel gauge sensor wire connectors.

Remove the fuel tank mount bolts and remove the

fuel tank.

Remove and clean the fuel strainer.

Remove the fuel gauge sensor (Page 14-2).

Check the fuel gauge sensor's operation (page 15-

18).

F U E L TANK I NSTALLATION

The installation sequence is essentially the reverse

order of removal.
